GAS INSTALLATIONS
BISHOPSCOURT
We’re here to help
Bishopscourt’s large properties, mature gardens and proximity to Kirstenbosch mean the gas installations we carry out here tend to be more substantial than a single kitchen hob. Core Gas Installations approaches each Bishopscourt project as its own design exercise rather than a standard fit.
OUR SERVICES
Gas Installations
We install any type of gas appliance, from stoves and hobs to fireplaces and geysers, and cover all types of installations.
After a new installation, maintenance or repair, we will issue a compliance certificate in accordance with SANS 10087-1:2013.
We conduct inspections on all installations and repairs, covering components such as regulators and isolation and safety shut-off valves.
We can supply and install any size gas cylinder cage to your existing installation to meet all SANS requirements.
We offer maintenance to existing gas installations, ensuring that piping and fittings are always in the best condition.
Using state-of-the-art sniffer devices, we can detect the smallest of leaks on your gas installation, putting your mind at ease.
Gas Installation Services in Bishopscourt
Think multiple geysers across a large home, a gas fireplace in a separate entertainment area, and cylinder installations positioned to stay well clear of a property’s boundary walls, water features and electrical infrastructure.
Our team installs and services gas stoves, hobs, ovens and fireplaces, supplies and fits gas geysers appropriately sized for larger households and builds cylinder cages that meet SANS clearance distances even on properties where landscaping, pools and outbuildings complicate the layout. Every installation is signed off with a Certificate of Compliance under SANS 10087-1:2013 — documentation that matters for insurance purposes on higher-value Bishopscourt homes, where insurers routinely request proof of compliant gas, electrical and plumbing work.
We also carry out inspections on existing installations, which is common in Bishopscourt given how many properties have changed hands or been renovated over the years without every prior addition being formally certified. Where we find an older cylinder cage or run of piping that no longer meets current clearance rules, we’ll explain exactly what needs to change and quote the correction separately from anything that already passes.
Leak detection using electronic sniffer equipment rounds out our service here, useful for larger properties where a slow leak in an outbuilding or garden installation isn’t always obvious from the main house. If you need a new gas installation designed properly for a large property, or an existing one inspected and certified, Core Gas Installations can take on the project.
On a property this size, we typically start with a walkthrough to map every existing gas point before quoting anything, so the homeowner has one clear proposal rather than a series of ad hoc callouts. Once work is complete, we hand over a full compliance file covering every installation on the property, useful for insurers and for future contractors working on the home. Core Gas Installations offers a 24-hour emergency line, and through the wider Core Services Group we can coordinate with Core Electrical or Core Leak Detection where a Bishopscourt project touches more than one trade.
