This certificate confirms that your installation meets all safety regulations and was performed by a qualified professional.

Gas Certificate of Compliance (COC)

A gas Certificate of Compliance is a legal document confirming your gas installation meets SANS 10087-1 requirements. You need a valid COC when a new gas installation is completed, when you sell your property, after any alteration to an existing installation, and for household insurance to remain valid. We issue a COC with every installation, and we also inspect and certify existing installations that were done without one.

Who is allowed to do a gas installation in South Africa?
Only a SAQCC-registered gas practitioner may legally install, alter or repair a gas installation. All our installers are registered, and every installation is certified with a COC.
Do I need a gas installation certificate?
Yes. A Certificate of Compliance is legally required for every gas installation. It must be issued on completion, renewed after alterations, and presented when you sell your property or claim from insurance.
How much does a gas installation cost?
It depends on the appliances and pipework involved – a single hob connection costs far less than a full home conversion or commercial kitchen. We provide a written quote after a site assessment, with no obligation.
How long does a gas installation take?
Single-appliance installations are usually completed within a day. Full home conversions and commercial projects are scheduled and scoped during the site assessment.
Is gas cheaper than electricity in South Africa?
