GAS INSTALLATIONS
Kleinmond
We’re here to help
Kleinmond’s setting between the Kogelberg mountains and the lagoon has made it a popular retirement and holiday town, and Core Gas Installations sees that reflected in our client base here — a mix of permanent retirees wanting a reliable, low-maintenance gas system, and holiday-home owners whose properties sit empty for long stretches between visits.
OUR SERVICES
Gas Installations
We install any type of gas appliance, from stoves and hobs to fireplaces and geysers, and cover all types of installations.
After a new installation, maintenance or repair, we will issue a compliance certificate in accordance with SANS 10087-1:2013.
We conduct inspections on all installations and repairs, covering components such as regulators and isolation and safety shut-off valves.
We can supply and install any size gas cylinder cage to your existing installation to meet all SANS requirements.
We offer maintenance to existing gas installations, ensuring that piping and fittings are always in the best condition.
Using state-of-the-art sniffer devices, we can detect the smallest of leaks on your gas installation, putting your mind at ease.
Gas Installation Services in Kleinmond
We install and service gas stoves, hobs, ovens, fireplaces and geysers throughout Kleinmond, and every cylinder installation is caged to SANS clearance standards with fittings chosen for the coastal environment. All work is certified under SANS 10087-1:2013, giving Kleinmond property owners documentation for insurance whether the home is lived in year-round or only for a few weeks a year.
For holiday properties, we recommend a check-over before each reopening rather than assuming a system left dormant for months is still in good order — small issues with regulators or hoses are far easier to catch on a scheduled visit than after guests have arrived. Our leak detection service, using electronic sniffer equipment, is a practical part of that pre-arrival check.
Given the coastal exposure near the lagoon and mountains, we also build a more frequent maintenance interval into our recommendations than for inland suburbs. Whether you’re settling into Kleinmond permanently or maintaining a holiday property, Core Gas Installations can install, certify and maintain the system properly.
For retirees and holiday-home owners alike, we’re happy to talk through a realistic maintenance interval for a Kleinmond property, since a home occupied year-round and one used only a few weeks a year need different attention. Every quote is itemised clearly before work starts. Core Gas Installations runs a 24-hour emergency line, and through the Core Services Group we can bring in Core Electrical or Core Leak Detection where a Kleinmond job needs it. We keep a record of every Kleinmond installation on file, which makes a follow-up service call faster since our technician arrives already knowing what was fitted and when.
